Deborah Ketelsen, owner of DK Creative Media, applies her passion for video and photography to everything from weddings to commercial productions. Twenty-five years in local commercial production in combination with her entrepreneurial spirit has enabled Deborah to identify a niche in creative media production that she could fill by combining video production with photography.
In October 2013 Deborah displayed some of her exquisite photographs in the Greenway Building’s open house/Arts! Arcata event. Photographs of smiling children in African Guinea and soldiers in Jordan captured attention and emotion. Although she is already a well-versed traveler, she hopes to incorporate more traveling into her future productions.
October’s event was only one of the Link collaborations Deborah has been involved in at the Link. Over the summer Deborah worked with Bruce LeBel of ProStar Software (here at the Link) to create short promotional videos and other graphic services for his company.
Deborah’s interest in photography began at a young age and was followed by an introduction to art photography while attending Humboldt State. During her undergrad she began to build her editing skills as the photo editor for the Lumberjack. Since then, she has worked to develop her production skills, enabling her to take on each step within the entire production process.
